Are your pieces handmade?
Yes! Penelope & Bee jewelry is handmade, so each piece may have slight variations in bead placement and color distribution. That's part of what makes your piece uniquely yours.
Can I choose my own colors?
Absolutely! For customizable pieces, you'll see a box on the product page where you can enter your color choices. If you're ordering team jewelry, you can also include the name of your school or team if you're unsure of the exact shades.
Will my colors look exactly like the photos?
I do my best to match your requested colors as closely as possible. Shades may vary slightly depending on bead availability, and colors can also appear a little different from screen to screen.
How long will my order take to make?
Because Penelope & Bee pieces are handmade to order, please allow 3–5 business days for your jewelry to be created before it ships. Shipping time is additional and will vary depending on the shipping method selected at checkout.
Do you take custom orders?
I love a good custom idea! If you have something specific in mind that isn't currently listed, feel free to reach out and ask. I can't promise every request will be possible, but I'm always happy to see what we can create.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Penelope & Bee pieces are made with tarnish-resistant materials whenever possible, but no jewelry is completely immune to normal wear over time. To keep your jewelry looking its best, avoid wearing it in the shower, pool, or while sleeping, and limit contact with perfumes, lotions, sweat, and harsh chemicals. Store your pieces somewhere cool and dry when you're not wearing them, and handle beaded jewelry gently.
Some pieces may contain copper or other metals that can naturally develop a darker patina or tarnish over time. This is a normal reaction to exposure to air, moisture, skin oils, and everyday wear and does not mean your jewelry is damaged. Copper components can be gently polished with a soft jewelry polishing cloth when needed.
In some cases, certain metals may also leave temporary green or dark discoloration on the skin. This can happen because of a reaction between the metal and your skin's natural oils, sweat, lotions, or individual body chemistry. Some people may also be sensitive or allergic to certain metals.
Materials used will be listed in each product description. If you have a known metal allergy or sensitivity, please review the materials carefully before purchasing and avoid any piece containing a metal you know causes a reaction.
